FODMAP Food API

The static JSON API exposes stable food IDs, explicit kJ and derived kcal values, serving comments, update dates, and provenance notices. It is read-only and uses permissive CORS for factual lookup.

Endpoints

  • /api/foods.json — all records (/api/foods is a production alias)
  • /api/foods/{slug} — one record
  • /api/foods/category/{category} — category collection
  • /api/foods/rating/{rating} — rating collection
  • /api/openapi.json — OpenAPI description

Provenance and reuse

Every response links to the methodology. The code license does not grant redistribution rights for third-party source data, research, trademarks, or images. Assess downstream rights before republishing.
